QNHS approves project OK for students' welfare

Quezon National High School launched OK sa DepEd (Department of Education) program just this July 8, 2019 to keep track of student health and needs.

Oplan Kalusugan or OK is a project aimed to achieve sustainable development of students' health, not just in terms of the absence of diseases but physical health, mental, and social health in general.

"Ang OK sa DepEd ay to promote well-being and healthy lives by continuously supporting DepEd health programs, advocacies and services," Ma'am Felirose Uy, the school nurse, said.

The health programs supported by OK sa DepEd are: School Based Feeding Program (SBFP), National Drug Education Program (NDEP), Adolescent Reproductive Health (ADH), Wash in School (WINS), Mental Health (MH), and Medical, Dental, and Nursing Services (MDNS).

The school discussed each of these per day to teachers and selected students in a one-week seminar from July 8-12.
