National Drug Education Program (NDEP) is a comprehensive education program which provides holistic approach to problems that covers drug abuse, alcohol abuse, smoke control program, and Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD).

"Dito ine-educate lang ang student tungkol sa mga batas nito, epekto sa katawan at pag-iwas dito," Ma'am Uy said.

With the increase of substance abuse among students, the Government created this to monitor inappropriate activity, behaviors, and habits of students with the help of BKD.

BKD is a new organization made to educate, counsel, and promote awareness regarding substance abuse in school. Officers for this organization are yet to be elected but once elected they are tasked to create plan of actions and supervise implementation.

"Objective of BKD is to empower students to be the catalyst within their peer groups in advocating healthy and drug-free lifestyles thru involvement in various wholesome activities," the Department of Education stated.

A symposium was held this July 10 regarding this program. This was entrusted to SSG Officers Grade 7-12 and Club Presidents to understand.
